In this latest season, the Trek crew takes a new unprepared team deep into the heart of Africa attempting to cover more than 10,000-miles of European and African roads in a punishing 7-week journey from Berlin to Cape Town across 16 countries.  The goal of reaching Cape Town quickly changes as cars are destroyed, robbed and left in the Sahara, while team members contract malaria, lose passports and end up in an African prison.
